I was inspired by Paul Cezanne's almost abstract landscapes with this encaustic, mixed media painting. The great Cubist Pablo Picasso openly claimed him as a forefather, as did Henri Matisse, who had been inspired by Cézanne’s bold use of color. It's the color and rendering of nature as basic shapes that most influenced me on this piece, which is painted on wood and has a hanging wire for the wall.   It is 8 x 11" and would look great on your wall!
