This is a 14 x 11" hot wax - encaustic painting with a strip of photos of myself from my days living in Colorado off and on from 1969 to 1977. I was primarily a modern dancer and actor in those days and not "out" as a visual artist. But it certainly influenced me. B/c of back issues, I trained in Radio News and was the first female voice doing news on KTLK Denver in 1977.

Although encaustic wax takes temps of 200 to 250 F to melt, I would not put this painting in a place where it got lots of sunlight. You can however, take a soft cloth and polish it, since it is wax.
